ARMY - NAVY - AIR FORCE - MARINES - COAST GUARD May 20, 21, 22 Hosted by Troops 338 & 340 Located at Spring Hill Lodge on 117 Pond Rd., off Rt. 4 north, South Berwick, ME Theme: Support our Troops, held on Armed Forces Day to honor all those men and women who serve to protect our country's freedom. On August 31, 1949, Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson announced the creation of an Armed Forces Day to replace separate Army, Navy, Marine Corp and Air Force Days. The single-day celebration stemmed from the unification of the Armed Forces under one department -- the Department of Defense. |

The Camporee was a great success, thanks to everyone's hard work & support!
Over 441 participants, plus many other visitors, enjoyed competing, watching, or manning
the challenge events and Expos. Some of the servicemen who came to participate couldn't
resist trying out some of the challenge courses themselves!
Hundreds of items, including a large number of phone cards, were collected for the
152nd Maintenance Battalion of the Marine National Guard deployed in Iraq.
